Here We Go - Peter White:
Here We Go was the 2012 follow-up to Peter White's Good Day release and
his 13th studio effort. With the initial cut and the title track, Peter
fulfilled a long-time ambition to record with David Sanborn. The selection
sees the teaming of two iconic performers in the genre - the resulting
combination of grit and polish is not only brilliant (to coin a British
term), it also elevates the tune to the upper echelons of a long list
of highly impressive Peter White tracks.

In Rainbows - Peter White:
Peter
White's 14th solo release Smile is also his third album for the Heads
Up imprint, and with it Peter completes a trilogy of projects comprised
of all original material. The cd includes an impressive array of special
guests, with Mindi Abair, Rick Braun, Euge Groove, Philippe Saisse, and
last but not least, his own daughter Charlotte White on violin. We've
chosen a trio of terrific tracks from the disc beginning with the exquisite

Danny Bianco - Peter White:
Réveillez-Vous
(pronounced Reh-Vay-Eh-Voo) was the project that Peter had been threatening
to record for so many years. From that debut and an album that has withstood
the test of time; we have Peter with an upbeat tune that was written for
his brother Danny!

In
The Rain - Peter White :
Peter
named his second cd Excusez-Moi after being told it seemed the title of
his last disc was too difficult to pronounce. Nonetheless, the music contained
therein was just as easily accessible - a prime example: In the Rain -
a gorgeous composition highlighted by the vocals of Amber Di Lena and
Neal Morse.

Caravan of Dreams - Peter White:
Peter
White is an artist "whose unique sound and natural, unpretentious musical
vision encapsulate all the charm, appeal, and excitement of his genre."
So wrote Jonathan Widran in 1996 while reviewing Caravan of Dreams. On
the album Peter renewed his affiliations with producer Paul Brown initiated
on the Reflections cd and with saxman Boney James with whom he'd worked
on his past two releases. From the resulting project, and one which rates
highly on our list of indispensables, Peter and Boney trade-off leads
on the soulful and elegant title track!

Chasing the Dawn - Peter White:
Exhibiting
a distinctive sound and a flawless technique, Peter White's liquid lines
and romantic phrasing are lavishly scented with elements of the blues
and splashes of flamenco. Upbeat, richly textured, and sensuous, there's
definitely a joie de vivre in everything he plays. Buoyed by a lush backdrop
and an infectious groove, here's a 'glowing' example of a performer at
the very peak of his craft!

Epilogue:
A Peter White
New Year 1 aired on December 26th, 2004 and featured a total of 39 tracks
culled from 8 albums and numerous guest spots. Now a decade later, and
with the recent release of Smile, Peter's latest cd, there were 4 additional
albums to consider! True to form, the choice was clear - select only tracks
that had not been part of the first New Year's show.
The result proved a pleasurable jaunt down memory lane as well as a journey
of re-discovery! Notwithstanding the challenge, we've come up with a spectacular
37-track outing that will make you 'smile' - that's when the clock chimes
twelve on A New Peter White New Year!
